Nestled in a Book

I love Romance, New Adult, and Erotica books. I love sharing the books and authors that I love with people who have that in common or others who might not have ever known about them.

Try (Temptation #1)

Try (Temptation #1) - Ella Frank 5 SCORCHING HOT STARS!

Whew! I had to sleep on this review. I couldn't put this book down. It kept me up late because I just had to finish and then there was no way I was going to be able to put together a coherent review.

I've been hearing about Ella Frank for a while but I have so much on my to-be-read pile that I'd never gotten around to reading any of her work. Try's synopsis was so intriguing though that it put it right to the top of my list. This was my first M/M romance and it was one of the hottest stories I've ever read. If not the hottest, it's at least top three. I loved this story, I could not get enough of Logan and Tate.

Logan is a man who always gets what he wants and it makes no difference to him if it comes in male or female form. He's an equal opportunity sexual companion, his only requirement is no commitment. Now Tate is what he wants.

Tate is a man who likes women. He's coming out of a messy divorce and he's just minding his own business. Logan sets his sights on him but Tate isn't having it. But like I said before, Logan is a man who always gets what he wants. After some intense persuading (I would have given in much sooner than Tate), he's convinced to just Try.

Tate is on a path of exploration and Logan is all too happy to be his guide. The journey that they embark on together is scorching. I was feverish the entire time I was reading this book.

As it shows above, I'm giving this book 5 stars. For what it is - a hot, steamy and fun romance - it is undoubtedly 5 stars. This book isn't deep and philosophical, it didn't inspire me to do anything other than maybe have some hot sex with my husband, but it also doesn't pretend to be those things. In case you're under any allusions that romance authors aren't "real" authors, I'm here to tell you to stop kidding yourself. Ella Frank is seriously talented and her writing is excellent. She knows how to tell a story. And she knows how to make it hot. This story does goes beyond just sex, in case I've done a terrible job at communicating that. It's a romance, it's a love story. It does have substance. I am so looking forward to reading everything else that Ms. Frank has written. And I can't wait for the continuation of Logan and Tate's story.
