David Ferris is a guitarist in a famous rock band. Evelyn Thomas is a college student who goes to Las Vegas to celebrate her 21st birthday only to get so drunk that she can’t remember a lick of it (pun intended – bah dum tiss!). She wakes up on a hotel room floor with said Rock God and discovers that they have gotten hitched via Vegas Elvis Impersonator (ah yes, the good ol’ VEI). Panic and drafting of annulment papers ensues. But circumstances throw them together and has them wondering if rushing into dissolving the marriage is a little hasty. Maybe their drunken decision was the better one?

I love David Ferris. If I woke up in Vegas with a hangover and no memory of the night before but a half naked David Ferris is present and informing me of our nuptials the previous evening – I would not complain.

I loved this story, Kylie Scott did not disappoint. David Ferris and Evelyn Thomas are both extremely easy-to-like characters that have you cheering them on from chapter 1. It was refreshing to read a book that made me laugh and swoon, feel giddy and sick. Even though I always expect a happy ending because 98.7% of the books I’ve read have one, I still felt anxious and nervous at one point during their story when things looked uncertain. I hurt for both of them. It’s always a bit of a challenge for an author to draw you in so much that your heart races and palms get sweaty, especially when you read 100 books in the span of a year.

Kylie Scott has some serious talent and with 3 more books intended for the Stage Dive series, I look forward to reading more from her. I strongly suggest this one, especially if you’re into sexy rockers, scenes hot enough to steam up your windows, funny and witty dialogue, and of course, love. 1-click it! Do it!
