Nestled in a Book

I have been so looking forward to this book! It's very rare that you read a book by an author for the first time and instantly fall in love. But Emma Chase wooed the pants right off of me with Tangled. I fell in love with Drew and Kate. There are few books that make me laugh out loud from cover to cover but Ms. Chase accomplished that. So I was anxiously awaiting the second book, and I'm thrilled to report that it did not disappoint.

Twisted was the perfect sequel. It had heart and humor. It drew you in, broke your heart, patched it back up into something more beautiful than it was before and somehow had you laughing the whole time. Emma Chase is like a mad scientist. An evil genius. Or maybe she's just a genius. Drew and Kate are perfection. Their story is one that will always hold a special place with me.

The emotions that I felt while reading this book were like a wild rollercoaster. Joy, heartbreak, elation, pain, laughter, betrayal, happiness, devastation, hope, and despair. Its flaws are what made it perfect. Not that the story is flawed. If I haven't expressed it clearly enough yet, Emma Chase is an artist and her work is perfection. A story is so much more relatable when the characters aren't perfect epitomes of beauty and grace. They make mistakes (big ones) and say the wrong things. It's endearing.

I feel like all of my thoughts are coming out jumbled but that's what these two do to me. They make me a gooey mess and turn my heart and brain to mush. It's the most perfect piece of perfect perfection that ever was perfected.
